Brighton is Regency conversions and basement flats in Kemptown and Hove, often three or four flats to a building. Sea air and basement damp are the two constants of the job. For a heating engineer, that means boiler installs, heat pumps and servicing that cannot be put off. Areas that generate the most call-outs: Kemptown, Hove, Hanover, Preston Park.
